However, I definitely see the appeal of Yawgmoth as I was going to build him before I decided to build ] instead and then include him in the 99. Following the Ikoria trend Tayam, Luminous Enigma is a legendary nightmare beast.

Ik I personally like more unique commander’s (often involving unique combos) as well as decks with staying power, so Tayam is the one I’ll eventually brew myself. If you like to risk it all for the big players, Yawgmoth is you dude. If you like to be consistent and never be out of the game, Tayam is probably the better option with her recursion. When it comes down to playing them, i think Tayam will be a more well-rounded midrangy deck that waits for its moment to combo out (it’s also extremely easier in these colors to stop what your opponents are doing by deploying stax pieces and hatebears) whereas Yawgmoth will definitely be more aggressive and looking to end the game quicker with explosive turns. Both decks can be built to extremely optimal levels (both are fringe cEDH commanders if that means anything to you). Yes, you can have Yawgmoth in Tayam if you want to play both but sometimes it’s just better to lose out on the colors if you really like the playstyle of one over the other. Both decks are commander focused, so honestly in the grand scheme of things you should pick the commander you think you’ll enjoy playing the most. Tayam, Luminous Enigma 1WBG Legendary Creature - Nightmare Beast Each other creature you control enters the battlefield with an additional vigilance counter on it. In a box, Yawgmoth probably is since it has build in card draw but if you look beyond the commander’s abilities the extra two colors of Tayam allow you do build in more different directions and have a wider card selection.

It’s definitely hard to pinpoint which commander is stronger. In my opinion, Tayam is the more interesting of the two.
